Browsers, how do they work?
Web Browser Engineering will soon be a book!
This is a great valedictory evolution for Pavel Panchekha and Chris Harrelson. The web edition of this project is, I contend, the single best programming textbook ever produced for the web, thanks to its (1) basically perfect design, and (2) balance of clarity and rigor. (I don’t say that lightly, because there are a lot of excellent programming textbooks online … !)
That web edition is extremely worth a peek even if you do not plan to engineer a browser. These are the mechanisms that make all of this, right here, work, and they’re refreshingly graspable.
