A highlight
When I read a web page on my laptop, I am always highlighting little bits of text as I go. This is unique to the device: I don’t do it on my phone, and I don’t do it on my iMac, either, with its mouse. Something about the trackpad waiting beneath my hovering thumb seems to encourage this absent-minded scrubbing.
